I have TWO questions about the practice of women wearing “Shabbos robes”. First of all, even the fanciest robe is still a robe, meaning clothing that is more conducive to “lounging around”. Is it Kavod Shabbos to wear one all Shabbos? Secondly, is it Tznius to wear one in front of men who are not family? After all, one wouldn’t wear a regular robe in front of them.
